Overview

Patient eHealth Portal

A patient portal is a secure online website, accessible through PC or mobile device, that gives patients convenient 24-hour access to personal health information from anywhere with an Internet connection. Using a secure username and password or a security token device, patients can view health information and perform a variety of actions.

Patient portal helps to enhance patient-provider communication, empowers patients, support care between visits, and, most importantly, improves patient outcomes.

Booking non-urgent visits with doctors

  • Care plan reminders
  • Expiring drug prescriptions
  • Pending vaccinations
  • Reminders of scheduled doctor visits or appointment change notifications
  • Notifications of changes of assigned caring doctors

Share EHR with other care providers of third party applications
As eHealth infrastructure develops in a country, third party applications for EHR processing are introduced to the market offering a range of value added services.

Patients are allowed to share their own EHR records with such third-party applications, which are compatible with common interoperability standards.

Disable EHR records for viewing by others
Depending on laws and regulations of a jurisdiction, patients may have an option to disable the visibility of certain health records, which patients might consider inappropriate for sharing.
